It was a grass lined railway cutting before the 1970s

Just curious really but as the development does not look that old - 80s I would guess - what was there before? Was the railway line always covered over or was it cutting?

Yes it is possible to re generate the Copley Close Estate and surrounding area. The council are spending a substantial amount of monies to do so and 2 local organisations are working extremely hard at working with the community: EASE Ltd, an established local charity and the Hanwell Big Local, a Lottery funded partnership spending £1M over 10 years in the surrounding area. I believe it will be transformed with the community taking ownership of what needs to be done. It's on its way. Please don't knock it. Instead have a look at the EASE and Hanwell Big Local websites to find out what's really going on. You may be pleasantly surprised.

I believe they have got a solution and that is to pull it down.Some of the properties are being compulsory purchased.
