Hives right next to each other can produce very different flavoured and coloured honey. A beekeeper in Hackney who had her honey analysed was told it contained 44% Tree of Heaven, Bramble, 20%, Lime 10%, Buddleia, 9%, Privet, 6%, Pyrus/Sorbus, 3%, Nettle, 2%, Poaceae (grasses?) 2%, Amelanchier, 2%, Meadowsweet, 1% and then pollen in proportions less than 1%: Aesculus hippocastanum, Papaver, Plantago and Prunus, Eucalyptus.Everyone's bees will find different flowers but this gives you an idea of the variety of flowers London bees can find.
