Refugee migrants?

What are your feelings about the refugee migrants - economic migrants and genuine refugees - flooding Europe? Should they be helped and given shelter and succour?

Peter,The lack of comment I think is a lack of certain knowledge of what is really happening. Most of the so-called refugees that are marching through Europe appear to be economic opportunists rather than genuinely displaced people in fear for their lives. The politicians of all nations are playing this violin every way possible. I wish we could ship the whole lot Syria to sort it out rather than making well-fed comments prepared by psychopathic spin doctors and sociopathic marketing and brand consultants.While most of what you write is correct one point requires amplification - a child born of non-UK nationals in the UK automatically assumes the nationality of the parent(s) these days and has to become a British citizen through the naturalization process.On a tangent, I cannot see Ealing Council or any of the council-funded charities and welfare organisation doing much to help these people as the Labour administration is dominated by Southall's shopkeepers whose sole aim is to get more family members over from the Indian subcontinent as low-cost labour (no pun intended) to keep their businesses going. Wrong continent for self-interest!

Noticeably a muted response I wonder due to fears of being labelled for voicing an opinion?Still unclear between a migrant & refugee,however their basic needs are the same surely? Lets sort our own backyard out firstAcommadation requirements, hotel, b&b,local park as written in other forum topics,housing? Perhaps it is "affordable" & only 2p in the £ or whatever.New builds are being screamed out for,every inch of land is built upwards & outwards too the maxPeople here need educating (offspring) - schooling - again wheres the space 30 to a class or moreNHS . free yet saturated, a limited amount cant finance an endless stream & risingNew births, unlimited, uncontrolled, then of course being born here, classified as British & same entitlements as anyone else.Allegiance??  Do these people care or have any loyalty. respect to our Christian values? Do they know what they are, the courtesy, mannerisms, etiqhette? HmmI think not, we are dictated  about who or what we can preach & when - does anyone recognise April 23rd & risk acknowledging even, without repercussionsThe powers that be "recognise"  pre election the stirrings of discontent & promise to address the "balance". Somehow it never happens, is that because migrant labour mean cheaper wages so the bosses line their pockets, class system, rich get richer etc?Bitter, heartless, resentful???Ask your average working class (remember them) person. Let them tell you their own stories. simple facts not some any kind of bogotry

Refugees should be given our protection. Economic migrants should not be. The weakest and most vulnerable are always left behind and so I support the Government's aim to bring refugees from the refugee camps rather than from Germany. It has been writtent that five out of six migrants going to Germany are not refugees from the Syrian conflict, but rather economic migrants from countries such as Pakistan. These young men seen on TV marching on the way to Germany fall into this category. They are mainly not genuine refugees, rather, economic migrants.
