I have a short list of annoying repair jobs for a handyman - can anyone recommend someone who is good, trustworthy and reliable?

My sister just recommended www.taskrabbit.co.uk to me. Excellent service and your card details are sorted upfront.

£80k?! Are you kidding, what handyman has 40 hours work per week, every week? Zero. £40 per hour is very good value IMHO

It only adds up to 80k a year if you don't factor in travelling time between jobs, holidays, sickness and periods when there just isn't much work about. The companies such as Buzz who send you handymen charge more and have to add VAT to it too.

£40/hour equates to approx £80k/annum gross. I would expect a highly skilled and experiened craftsman at that level not the so-called handyman who I would consider to be a general all rounder of moderate skills for less challenging tasks.

Thanks Susan - worth every penny for a really good handyman!

Mine, who, sadly, is now retiring, charged £40 an hour.
As a matter of interest, how much does a good handyman ask to be paid per hour?
