We are on the old Jackass common - where they used to run donkey races until they were stopped due to the general rowdiness of the good people of Ealing ;-)If you'd like to find out more about our history I'll be doing a walking tour through the allotments at 3pm on Saturday. We also have our repaired Anderson Shelter - which should bring back memories for some of our older visitors. You can go inside and get some sense of what it must have been like to shelter in it as bombs were dropping on London.hope you can make it.Christina++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++NORTHFIELDS ALLOTMENT OPEN DAYSaturday 15th August 2015Have you ever walked past the allotments on Northfields Avenue and wondered what it’s like inside? The allotment committee thought it was about time we opened the gates and let more people see the allotments.
