Well, it's double bubble for the homeless of Gunnersbury Park, coz all the new proposed outbuildings for the new leisure centre local councils want to build on the 40% of Gunnersbury Park occupying the 'recreational' land by Lionel Road North and Popes Lane, will provide much needed 'accomodation' for those unfortunate peeps. Now, assuming this new leisure center is gonna be 'policed', then the homeless can shift towards the other side of the park where all the beautiful, dilapidated follies are about to be refurbished, in which case, those unfortunate homeless peeps will have their pick of several desirable residences with beautiful views of the Mansion house and its immediate grounds."The focus is a £8 million state-of-the-art sports hub,  to provide year round facilities for residents of the two adjoining boroughs and for major London events." .... Well i went to the meeting and the list of stakeholders is endless including Brentford Football Club and Sport for England being major stakeholders. So, if the numbers under the sustainablity banner have been done, i wonder how accessible/available the facilities will actually be to the residents and local community as opposed to all the big stakeholders and the council more or less knowing that those facilities are gonna be pretty much booked up on block and en masse and the residents/local community ain't gonna get much of a look in. Is this just another sneaky sequestration of public land for primarily 'private' ownership/use facilitated by the councils involved ie. we can go look but we can't touch? The Mela comes but once a year, but this................PS. Given the unfortunate homeless peeps need a wash, couldn't the councils involved see their way to include a giant outdoor water paddling pool thingy like wot they got on Clapham common, which is always very popular wid the natives.
