Clothing alterations

My wife has  a couple of long dresses that need turning up. We used to use man in Boston Road near Hanwell Broadway, but sadly he's no longer with us. Considering nearby cleaners, or one on Boston Parade that to alterations.Does anyone have any experience of these, or other recommendations?Thanks

So good to see some of this happening.  I worked with a chap at one time who used to throw his shirts away rather than sew a button on (or get it sewn on)!Recently when altering clothes for an elderly parent I discovered that there is elastic which has button holes already in it so that you can easily make an adjustable elastic waistband that you can keep on adjusting.Here's a new website which I hope will be growing with lots of constructive feedback:http://loveyourclothes.org.uk/

Hi Chris,Last week I gave three brand new maxi dresses (lined and unlined) to Masters in Oak Road, W5, to have the hems shortened.  The work was carried out superbly and dresses returned after just three days or so.
