Cross Rail stations in Ealing.

Will the value of property increase if it happens to be adjacent/near a future Cross Rail station?

Well there is lots of excitement about cross rail and talk of house prices rises. Just had the radio on and seems to be problems on the public transport network today. In fact there always seems to be some problem somewhere. So do you think this project will be any good when it's finished?

Properties certainly may go up near Acton Mainline CrossRail station...up 16 storeys to be precisely, if Capitalist Housing and Ealing Council have their way!

They were sale prices, not asking prices so some must be.I bought a 2 bed flat in West Drayton in January last year for under £250k.  A neighbouring block is nearing completion and the 2 bed flats are selling off-plan for £310k-£320k.

You better believe it Gerry!  Their was a piece in the Standard recently.  Properties in West Drayton, for example, had gone up 30% in the last 2 years.  And at the other end of the line, average increases in Gidea Park were 50% over the same period.
