Work, Love It Hate It? (& what do you do or not!)

Reading a thread from Mr GT regarding lottery winnings, I used to quite enjoy my work,sadly or notTell me. how do apparent "non" workers  supplement their life style?? Benefits seem to buy booze & fags, cafes, takeaways - get out of bed whenever.The higher paid. bankers, MPs etc, not a care in the world, everything easily affordable, attainable.Yet I or those of us who work in a middle earning job are  constantly under threat.,From late turning up. being off sick,, not meeting companies policies, performance plans, targets, figures etc etc.We are bullied. intimidated under constant threat of discipline. dismaissal - WHY???????

Speaking of work - I resented having to do National Service, but realised it was of great benefit to my future life.  It taught me self reliance, respect for others, teamwork, social and cultural cohesion, thrift and many other attributes. Anyone else feel the same?

Oh dont start an all those on benefits are lazy workshy scroungers thread.The truth of life on benefits is pretty miserable, the benefits system was designed to be a safety net and is a sign of a civilized society.Without it, you  can guarantee the crime rate would be higher.In a capitalist society, it is maximum performance for minimal outlay. Also some companies will "speak loudly and wave a stick". It makes them feel better about treating other humans like dirt.
