The Dholls proclaimed a confusing Celebration.
Everyone loves a celebration. A great many residents of Southall were glad to see the end of the Chaos along Southall Broadway while it was dug-up and the traffic along the Broadway re-routed or severely delayed for almost 2years. It is almost finished. We were fed up with all the inconvenience it caused, but the end result promised was a Boulevard. What we got was a load of Bull. A single lined traffic each way. The Pedestrian traffic controlled by lights are replaced by an inch high cemented Island at the Hayes end and the town-hall end.Now the pedestrians are encouraged to make it to one of these Islands and complete their cross-over in two sections using a stop-over for Safety.Pedestrians make the cross-over along the complete length of the road :mothers pushing their buggies along in a hurry just hope it is better. Is it safer? Now that all the re-routed traffic, the Busess, and Heavy goods Vehicles have started to once again use the route ,i would not be surprised if The Celebrants a fortnight ago was wrong to be boasting that since the Boulevard, has been completed there has not been a single accident. The re-routed traffic will reach its original proportions soon enough to proclaim the real truth for the Celebration. The only reason to Celebrate was the end of the Chaos of the road works, NOT the Bull-E-Vard.
