MP's 10% salary rise.

Should our MPs accept a 10% increase, when most public sector salaries are about 1%?  I think nurses, rubbish collectors, police and firemen and the vast majority of public servants are getting meagre pay rises - it does seem unfair to me - or am I missing some info? What are your opinions?

I think I agree with you Thelma - enough's enough on the salary front.

At a time when public sector pay rises are limited to 1 or 2% - or sometimes zero - I don't think a large pay rise for MPs sends out the right message.  People already hold politicians in low esteem and this salary increase will only add to the public's disillusion with politics and their elected representatives.Many people are suffering as a result of government cut-backs and, if nothing else, this proposed hike in MPs' pay will only fuel discontent.

Is an annual salary of £74k too much for an MP?  Some think its about right, others believe its extortionate, yet many think it should be more considering the importance of the job.  I don't know what to think. What other opinions should there be?

A class system. All these so called high powered, high profile heads of state, leaders, walk off with £££££££££££££££ bonus, Bankers, Post Office Directors, Fifa, Councillors, MPsNamed & shamed but living in luxury with massive shares, pensions payoffs etc etcCorruption evrywhere
