Anybody else here on Streetlife?

www.streetlife.com. Seems to be a cross of freecycle and Ealing Today.

There is big issue with Ealing FreeCycle. There are, in fact, two Ealing Freecycles. One is the pukka FreeCycle (TM) while is part of the global Freecycle organisation and can be found via freecycle.org, and there is a second freecycle operation which is a Yahoo group and can be found via the Yahoo Group system and which will only interact with yahoo e-mail addresses https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/ealingfreecycle/info . The FreeCycle.org Ealing Freecycle will interact with any mail system https://groups.freecycle.org/group/EalingUK/posts/all . Something posted on one system does not appear on another.The Yahoo Groups-based system has 27,000 memebers and the Freecycle orgranisation group has around 38,000 members. As to why they are two operations called Ealing Freecycle I do not now. It is very very confusing.

Lots of people seem to have difficulty with freecycle.I think it is easier to access although I prefer the way that the threads here are listed but maybe that is just because I have got used to it...What's the problem with another choice?

I got the flyer too and am thinking about it.Visited a friend in SE London and they had received one too, the same day.Have they papered the entire country?!My thoughts are identical to yours; it's freecycle + here. Do we need it...?

I had their flyer delivered, there is also Streetbank that took over B&Q's Streetclub, It seems that there is a Street bandwagon.

I just liked the idea of not having to post here AND FreeCycle AND my neighbourhood mailing list. :)

I tried Streetlife and didn't warm to it I'm afraid. Its too time consuming imo - sufficient unto the day etc - may return to it someday. I prefer EalingToday, Chiswick, Acton and Brentford.
