Pitshanger Park - Scotch Common - Cleveland Park
Ealing as it was once known, Queen of the suburbs, so its great to see work carried out on the above green spaces.Footpaths resurfaced,a new cafe open, tennis & football courts completely revampedThe major swamp area by the allotments has been repaired, a new pavillion & drainage installed for the footballers, A general upheaval rather than the constant footway upgrade & traffic calming measures seen everywhere. On the negative side, what is going on with the litter, should the bins not be emptied daily? They are quite often overflowing & indeed litter strewn around the area. This is clearly not an accumulation of rubbish left overnight & it doesnt create a good impression after all the efforts made to rejuvenate the parks. There seems to be a drainage problem at the Scotch Common end of Cleveland Park, that is quite literally a swamp after rainfall.Perhaps also, gates could be fitted (or even a zebra crossing) between Scotch Common & Cleveland Pks? I have heard awful stories & experienced dogs running out & straight across the busy road.
