I put them in hot water with a view to skinning them but found that they plumped up immediately and wouldn't skin (which I had been advised to do but it's the kind of thing I can't really be bothered with anyway) so just added them to a bread and butter pudding - or in this case a panettone and butter pudding. Delicious. Next time I might - might if I can be bothered - cut them in half. (Just make sure as I did that they were just wrinkled and not mouldy as well.)
