Handyman/plumber for small job

Can anyone help with a recommendation for a handyman to look at a leaky toilet cistern? It's apparently too small a job for a 'proper' plumber according to the plumbers I've already contacted who are recommended on this forum.Thank you, Maggie

As per Andrew's reply - they allocate someone 'local'. Based on my initial experience, I'll use them again. They follow up with an email asking for your feedback - a good sign, in my opinion!

It may be worth checking if your household insurance covers workmen. The issue I've found is finding someone that's why I use Silver Saints and or My Plumber. For grunt work I employ a neighbour's teenage son at £10 per hour. He's diligent and comes highly recommended.

From time to time we need a handyperson to change a tap washer, or trim a high hedge or clear the rooftop gutters etc.  What rate per hour should we pay for such a person?  And should we make sure they're insured for accidents and injury?

I always use http://www.my-plumber.co.uk/. £75 for first hour or part thereof. They normally sort my issues in under the hour. Though https://www.silversaints.com would be cheaper for a job like this.
