South Ealing incident

Eight police cars and vans and ambulances in South Ealing Rd by Wickes.Apparently a big gang fight broke out earlier.

Simon, why are you surprised that there is nothing on the front of Ealing Today? When was the last time that you saw a report of any Ealing Council committees? If it wasn't found in the bottom of a pint glass in South Ealing it won't appear!

sounds bad but I didn't see/hear anything. Nothing on front page of Ealing Today, which is surprising.

Got to be an urban myth Michael. There has never been, is not and never will be a straight piece of timber in Wickes :-)

I drive regularly by the Wickes store in Seven Sisters road which appears to be a congregation point for contractors to pick up casual labour.  Is that happening here? Obviously a potential flash point.

It was two gangs of builders. A rumour had beengoing around that somebody had found a straight piece of timber in Wickes. And when the second lot arrived and saw the first lot walking out with it and loading it onto their  van, it was simply too much.michael adams...

Not at all.I have lived in Ealing all my life and (just) another street fight won't get me moving away.Can't think of a single area where there is not the occasional 'bit of bother'.
