Any fish in the River Brent?

I walk regularly along the banks of the River Brent in Pitshanger Park and have never seen any fish. An information board in the park alludes to sticklebacks and perch but has anyone ever spotted any?

On the way back from Ealing Hospital walking across the bridge I saw a shoal of roach? feeding at the bottom. As they turned you could see the flash of their sides. The ? was there because they weren't small enough to be sticklebacks and were in a large dense shoal those of perch are much smaller.

I think there must be as if you're lucky you'll spot the odd kingfisher near the viaduct in Hanwell.
