Any idea when it will re-open?

Can someone please explain why northbound traffic is being advised to turn left into Madeley Road and go round the houses to enter Hamilton Road?Surely northbound traffic would be better directed to turn left onto the Uxbridge Road,  and then take the third right into Hamilton Road (as southbound traffic is). Apart from taking traffic off the residential Madeley Road it's shorter!

Good afternoon Councillor Dabrowska I have been informed by the contractor and the Network Permit Inspector for the area that the works are taking longer than usual. However, it is likely that these works will be completed by 28th April 2015. I can confirm that the residents have been informed of the closure being in place till 28th April 2015.
