I have been pleasantly surprised by the Ealing Park Tavern. After having it bad-mouthed in my local, the Rose and Crown, by various allotment types, I have now been there several times in the past few weeks. This started when I was trying to buy a beer in "last orders" at said Rose and Crown and the bar tender refused to serve me saying that I would not finish it in time. I escalated this to the publican who backed the member of staff up "to the hilt" (interpret that whichever way you think is most appropriate).Anyway, the Ealing Park Tavern does things a little differently with polite well-mannered staff gliding among the customers during "last orders" reminging them that it is "last orders" and would they like another drink? Such a difference to the Rose and Crown: A little "customer care" goes a long way.(We did try Roddy's Bar on the way down to the Ealing Park Tavern but we only got as far as the toilets, there was no hot water coming out of the hot taps in either the mens' or womens' toilets - actually there was not water coming out of the hot taps at all) so we went further on down the Ealing Road.
