Five Guys.

So,an outfit called Five Guys is to set up in Ealing, eh?Back in the mid-70's when I came to New Zealand we had a supermarket called Three Guys. Regretably it didn't last long and went out of business!Ho-hum.JAC.

The differences are that they have both a great location and an established reputation for very good quality food, albeit not cheaply. Then again cheap and quality rarely go hand in hand.

Excellent burgers but very expensive, I fear when the novelty wears off and reality kicks in, they may suffer the same fate as Angela Malik's. Not enough people with spare ££££s to blow on a burger and chips

No, apparently the developeers plan to keep that bit (Central Chambers). For some bizare reason.

They are a successful and expanding chain so good luck to them.  Not sure how it all fits in with the new plans as they ae going to be in the old 8Treasures opposite the station. I didn't go and see the exhibition the developers put on the other week but I thought that row was part of the development as Carphone Warehouse certainly is.

Nice burgers but not cheap, I visited the one in angel where burger chips and drink cost 13 quid. Cost of living crisis, what crisis?

Really cracking burgers though.Tried the place at Kingston when shopping and the meat is all fresh not some reheated frozen 'patty', in fact they make a big point of not even having a meat freezer.Don't know where they get their buns from but they are more like a brioche than a tasteless floury bap.
