Over the years, I have banked at Northfield Avenue, Hanwell Broadway, Pitshanger Lane, Popes Lane and South Ealing. I'm beginning to think that it's me that puts the doom and gloom on them as they all close down.Barclays does not like money, unless it is of the electronic kind. They do not appreciate that most shops and many older customers cannot do without the banking counter for day to day purposes. The queue at South Ealing proves that. There now only remains Ealing Broadway, where you cannot park near to the bank; West Ealing, Greenford and Sudbury, where parking is limited; or as a last resort, Wembley near ASDA, but even then there is a rumour that Barclays may open tills within ASDA stores. It cannot be said that Barclays is not business friendly, just that they choose to ignore small and community shops and businesses.
