Broadband/phone / TV packages

Hi All,Need some advice please. We have the 3 things above from Virgin at the moment but I'm going to be looking around for a better deal. I do like the stability of the Virgin Broadband though. what do you use and how stable is it and also, which package is the best value do you think? I don't really need a TV package because we hardly use its facilities.Thanks

Thanks both. I am locked into Virgin until 21st April so I imagine they will 'save' our offered discounts until then but even if they do, I'll go elsewhere as they are clearly ripping us off. We were pretty happy with BT - never tried Sky so that's another option but what we do need is robust and quick Broadband because I do work from home sometimes.Thanks both.

Penny do you have high speed broadband?  I have just changed to Sky from Talk Talk as they have a 6 month offer on where broadband is free.  I am paying £16.50 for the phone then its £6.95 for the broadband on top after 6 months.  They are still testing the speed (takes 10 days to settle) so I can't comment yet but as a Sky customer already I think their customer service is excellent unlike Talk Talk!

we got virgin broadband and phone for £22... you have to say you want to leave though! alongside that a humax dvr which we stack-up films and tv to watch when it suits. it was cheaper to take the phone and broadband than broadband alone!

Hi David. Virgin weren't keen at all to offer anything off their package other than the 'generous' deal we have already which is £50 a month ! £30 of that is broadband which seems a hell of a lot to me. What do other people pay for something comparable? We have free landline evening and weekend which we never use anymore.

I've never had problems with tv/phone & broadband from Sky but worth calling sky and talk talk telling them you are shopping around and what their best deal is. Also tell Virgin you're doing this - they will probably be willing to discount to keep you
