Much too soon in my opinion

I refer to the homepage article regarding the recent tragic murder in Hanwell. News is news I agree but to put the details that are in the article and also a photo of the monster who committed this horrible act so prominently and so soon after the event can only bring further distress to those close to the victim. What purpose does it serve?

The search for Alice generated a huge amount of publicity, both locally and nationally, and it is inevitable that the story would be followed through by the news agencies until closure. That said not quite sure why the need to show photos but much the same on the TV news last night.

I agree with Anthony. If the police have concluded their investigation, then it's best that this be reported.

Although most distressing, I suppose it does bring about closure and ends the hearsay stories of supposition that have been floating about. ie what if it was not him and that there is still a murderer at large etc.

Agreed - I'd like to see good new in prominent positions on home page - there's too much bad and depressing news these days.
