Feeding the homeless on Christmas Day

does anyone know of anywhere. In Hanwell (preferably) or west Ealing providing  food for homeless people on Christmas Day?

It makes the heart feel better if you don't lie. Why should be refuse it? Why should he want to be wished a merry xmas when his xmas is going to be kak? I wouldn't expect that you would expect him to wish you a good Xmas, so it makes easier for him to say nothing.

Talk about the spirit of Christmas and good will to all!..Why didn't you just suggest that he refuses gifts and have done with it? What should he reply with, according to you that is?

A couple went into Tesco to very generously buy Zab, the man who sits outside EB station,  quite a large bag of shopping.Not knowing what to say when they handed it to him, very awkwardly they said "Merry xmas" and left.I know they didn't mean to cause any harm, but he was a little upset by it. I  suggested to him to try and learn not to reply with a "Merry xmas" or a "thank you and you" because it will make him feel more miserable especially as he won't be enjoying the 25th, or genuinely meaning his response.

GerryFour million people will spend Christmas Day alone according to the survey commissioned by the BBC.Quite a few though will do this of choice as I know when I invited three local people to lunch. They are very content with their own company. If you extrapolate my experience the figure is probably much lower.I have two 'older singles'  joining us for lunch as a result of an open invitation at church. If you have a neighbour who you know will be on their own not of their choice then invite them. They can only say no can't they?

Heard on Radio5Live that millions of people spend Christmas and the few days after alone, some without talking or seeing anyone. What happened to good neighbours?

I do feel for the homeless and lonely people at this Christmas time especially - so good of the able to provide some comfort and Christmas company. Nobody should be alone at Christmas I feel.
