Ours are worn but the council website seems to want to charge us £30. We are sure they were replaced free before. Anyone had experience with this?

I have now ordered replacement sacks over the phone. It is impossible online and the automated phone options do not encompass them either.

If we get wheelie bins, do we put garden waste into it? Or do we still have to use the green sacks for garden trimmings and cuttings?

Who wants to push and pull a wheelie bin around just in case they decide to empty it either?

That's because so many are now fiddling the system because of the charges. My folks now regularly get garden waste dumped in their garden because they signed up as do a few of their neighbours. The collections have also become very erraticThey are so fed up they have decided to no longer subscribe and will burn the waste instead. Another chore that I will get foisted with!!

Our green sacks for garden waste seem to be disappearing, despite having our house number clearly marked on the sacks. We're left with only one now - the others have simply vanished or been stolen.

Thanks. We are in the scheme but I saw no details of phoning for new sacks.

I phoned the Council this July and asked for one new one. I got four delivered the next day for free! But I have paid to be in the garden collection scheme so that might make a difference
