By being just one of 18 MPs to oppose this bill Angie Bray has shown she is no friend of the NHS. Last week I found my email inbox jammed with hundreds of requests urging her to vote for Clive Efford’s NHS bill, copying in me as Labour candidste. With Tory +Lib Dems MPs conceding that Andrew Lansley's Health and Social Care Act was misguided, this vote provided a great opportunity for them to redeem themselves. For this reason I issued an open letter to Bray to let constituents know exactly which side she was on. Alas whilst thankfully the vote was won on Friday – pretty much because the Tories en masse decided not to turn up, knowing how bad it would look to vote against the bill - Angie Bray was present. She showed utter contempt for her constituents by being one of just 18 MPs to vote against the bill which would have safeguarded the NHS from marketisation such as the damaging TTIP transatlantic trade agreement to allow US insurance companies to run the NHS. Even UKIP supported the bill. As an MP I'd have no hesitation in defending the NHS not cuts and privatisations. Ealing Central and Acton deserves better.
