What were yhe officials at the embassy like? Is there a cafe in the embassy?

I went today. Quite a few there and I could have taken a camera. Good quality representational art, nothing abstract. Scenes and people from Korea and a few of London. Only one of Soviet style realist art , regime propaganda. So I recommend a visit.

Sadly not, no.All pictures of the Beloved Leader have been left firmly behind in the mother country.The 'exhibition' is said to consist of a few quick sketches of familiar London sites that the crack four man team of NK artists knocked up in the three weeks since they rocked up at Heathrow.Peculiar.

I am thinking of going tomorrow. I once visited a gallery in Riga showing realist art from the Soviet era and I am interested to see if this is a similar misrepresentation of a workers' paradise.

There is a dilemma here:curiosity (go and see it), and principle (no platform for an oppressive regime that kills mothers for watching James Bond movies).They say curiosity killed the cat so I am staying away.

If you remember the furore Keith they purchased the house, did all of the unauthorised modifications and then declared it had diplomatic immunity as an embassy.

There are probably loads of people in North Korea who would love to come over and see it :-) - as long as they get a haircut as well.

This is a pleasant surprise.  Has anyone been to the North Korean embassy yet and viewed the exhibition? Sounds interesting and in our patch.
