Renewing CPZ permits online

I've been trying to renwe my parents CPZ permits online for the last 4 days.The link goes to a dead server link.I've tried from 4 computers at 4 different locations. Same blockage and no online help link.After two days of trying to get through by telephone has proved impossible to speak with a human and it takes 'up to 3 working days' to respond.Why is it that anything operated by authorities simply never works properly and cannot be fixed for days on end.I'm now going to be away for a month and wanted this all sorted for them beforehand.What should be a simple 5 min task has used up over 11 hours this week.If it were in the real world I would be entitled to a refund.

We've found that going to Perceval House to query something is fretful - one has to wait ages to get the query answered - most time wasting. Goodness knows how bad it is on line.

I got no reply from LBE parking about the failed link.However another resident and a colleague had the same problem and found after hours and hours of trying to no avail that switching to a different internet browser led it to work as it should.So we loaded Mozilla Firefox instead of Safari and bingo! It worked.But how it takes so long for LBE it to fix a dud link is not good.We should get a discount for the hours wasted in work time.

Thank you for this Anthony.I ordered CPZ visitor tickets online. You can't go to Perceval Castle and pay and collect them now. You have to apply by post or online. The online turnround is quoted as 5 working days.It turned out to be 10 working days. The system did not reassure me by acknowledging that I had completed the transaction. I had to visit Perceval Castle to both verify and track my request. I had done everything right. The visitor vouchers arrived with no apology or explanation. "Never apologize and never explain." See Anthony I am just another serph to the council officers.
