Phone & Broadband Deals

What deals are people getting on their landline phone and broadband at the moment?There was a thread on this subject last year, which was pretty instructive, but prices all seem to have gone up since then: http://appasp.ealingtoday.co.uk/server/app/forum/ShowMessage.asp?ID=933893For my renewal, Virgin Media have offered me the following:- Landline Line Rental @ £144 for the year- Talk Unlimited (free calls at any time of the day to 01, 02, and 03 nos)- Broadband L (30mb speed with no download limit)Phone calls and broadband to cost an additional £13.50 per month.All told then, £144 for a year's line rental plus £13.50 per month for the rest works out at £25.50 per month.Could I do better?Thanks

Tracey, I was also with O2 when Sky bought them. There may be a renewal deal to be had now. Some people on hotukdeals have been offered to renew at £11.75 month for line and BB if they pay up front (£141). No calls included. Inclusive landline calls is £5 per month. You may have to threaten to leave (the line rental increase is a legal reason to leave. Plusnet is offering a deal via moneysaving expert you could mention as a reason to leave.There are always lots of renewal deals posted by users on hotukdeals. Also check Thinkbroadband and moneysaving expert.com for the best deals.

I used to be with O2 who sold out to Sky, on change over I got unlimited broadband home phone and unlimited uk and 0845 etc for the princely sum of £12-50 after some bartering, and the same deal for my son

I pay £27.00 with BT.I can only advise you to avoid TalkTalk. Two neighbours are both 'chomping at the bit' to leave them at the end of their contract as their customer service is ^*&*&^^!!
