Happened this morning. 2 Men with hammers stole cash box and fled. Hopefully the cash box has that special ink which when the box is opened, it sprays ink all over the notes. What kind of man would take part in this attack.

Yes, I realised later that the £85K limit was still in force and the £100K thing was just a proposal still.Sorry.

Too true, too true Neil.

Nigel, in fact the tables have turned completely, we no longer have "bank robbers", instead we have "robber bankers".

Still listed as £85,000 on the FSCS website and I couldn't find any proposals to lift it.
Recently upped to £100K I think.
Rubbish. Bank 'raids' used to be commonplace but are now extremely rare.

Ealing is fast becoming like The Bronx :-) what ever next.

Dammit Keith, did I say only millions? I had hoped that you would not have spotted my error.;-)Gerry, I won't touch Internet banking. However I am very concerned that bank counters with cashiers are now almost museum pieces.

'Yes, the pernicious ones who manipulate computers to monitor your keystrokes and siphon off million and millions'. Blimey George I didn't realise you had 'million and millions' to siphon off...good for you...some guys have all the luck ;-)

None of them and all of them. The 'average' punter is protected by the FSCS, up to £85,000 with any bank, above that you're on your own.Equally, if you fail to take adequate security measures, the bank will 'cast you adrift'.
You will never have any way of knowing this.

Gosh, that's frightening. Which bank is safest and good for online banking?
Gerry Tan ● 4126d
Yes, the really pernicious ones who manipulate computers to monitor your keystrokes and siphon off millions and millions. The banks will not tell the public how much they are losing. It is a lot more than what could found in a high street branch.
There is any other sort?
Nigel Brooks ● 4127d
I'd hardly expect a Bank Robber to be tickling people.... just as well it was hammer(s) they had and not a firearm of some sort.
Lee Page ● 4127d
Obviously bank robbers, but desperate and dangerous ones.
Gerry Tan ● 4127d
A bank robber!
