I am feeling rather guilty for belittling the efforts of the person who put up the "Beech Gardens Closed" signs, they may have been small, however, they were THERE. So, thank you whoever put the "Beech Gardens Closed" signs, you are making the effort, and could we have some more that say "Ash Grove Closed" now that it is closed off this evening and Beech Gardens is open again. I am guessing that it was someone from Murphy as Murphy put up the original custom-made "Cyclists Dismount" signs when the project started, however, these signs no longer exist. So please could we also have some "Cyclists Dismount" signs for the narrowed pavement by the side of the site.It is hard to know who to congratulate and who ti criticize as this project progresses. The players include: JS Murphy and Sons Ltd. doing the digging, Glanville Projects doing the project management, and Scottish and Southern Electric Distribution (SSED) who own the project and cables. Someone in this package is not, in my opinion, thinking in terms of quality, the question is, who is it? Where JS Murphy are doing cabling work by Osterley Tube Station proper new "Cyclists Dismount" signs are in evidence and the road safety equipment is of appropriate quality. On Popes Lane there is a steadily dwindling amount of road safety equipment, and one of the Heras site fence panels now lacks its green rubble netting (senior SSED managers please note). The traffic management system on the junction with Elderberry Road is there, however, the crossing and lights on the West side of the junction is just switched off, there are no signs on the pelican crossing buttons or around it saying "not in use, use the crossing on the other side of Elderberry Road".
