Ealing electricity works traffic disruption and safety update
Close of play, Thursday 16th |October 2014 The now un-necessarily massive site stretching along Popes Lane from the Lionel Road junction with Popes Lane (which is still under temporary traffic control) to past Beech Gardens which has been closed off from Popes Lane from yesterday (Wednesday October 16th) continues to cause traffic congestion and is best avoided.Local residents remain unimpressed by safety issues and the fact that while about half the site at the Lionel Road end has been re-surfaced for over a week, however, remains closed off requiring temporary traffic light control of the Lionel |Road/Popes Lane Junction. Why this side of Popes Lane is closed off with bollards nobody knows.Though it doesn't make traffic flow around the junction any easier. As the massive and largely vacant site stretches off into the distance. Before reaching Beech Gardens where there are no signs to say “Beech Gardens Closed”
