Illogical. We ban the taking of other drugs in public (or anywhere for that matter) and yet many, possibly even me, would disagree with that law.Mind you, when they've done with the smokers the next target that will hove into view is the drinkers, and, as a drinker myself (though not on park benches obviously) that may not be at all so comfortable...Just to be clear - my problem with smoking is, well, the smoke. It is not the nicotine, or even the fact that for some this is their drug of choice. It is the fact that indulging in it is unique in the imposition that it places on others in the vicinity against their will. It is only this aspect which I object to personally.Do unto others etc...I have oft compared the actions of ignorant and selfish smokers in days gone by to me standing on the table in the pub and urinating all over them. Naturally they find such a suggestion offensive and yet night after night they condemned me and all the other non-smokers to going home with our hair and clothes stinking like stale ashtrays.I can't begin to explain how overjoyed I was at the introduction of a ban on smoking in pubs and, especially, restaurants.
