Ebola could hit Britain very soon

It is very worringing indeed if this is true.As more and more people are coming into Heathrow from abroad and people smuggling in from Calais, there is no check on who is carrying what disease.How do officials check if someone has Ebola who has just landed in Heathrow? I've never seen any checks carried out.How exactly is Ebola transmitted? Doctors keep saying you cant catch it if someone sneezes or coughs. So how do you catch it? What worries me is we live in a over populated city and we always have close proximity with people especially on the tubes and cafes and shopping centres with people breathing down our necks, so how do we protect ourselves.

Experts are now saying Ebola can be transmitted through the air.So to be cautious, if you see anyone coming in from Heathrow who is coughing or sneezing, stay clear away or wear a mask like they do in China.

It is said to be spread by contact with bodily fluids:Bodily fluids = blood, sweat, vomit, feces, urine, saliva or semenIt is hard to nurse a sick person without coming into contact with any of these.  Foreigners telling people not to wash bodies after death because of the danger of catching Ebola isn't so easily accepted by many grieving and emotional people who want to follow their religious practices.

When you speak loudly on a mobile phone, think of the spit that is coming flying out of their mouths and landing onto someone's nostrils or mouth. This is how fluid is transferred via mucous membranes.

Protective clothing does not stop Ebola. I think we all have to avoid shaking hands or kissing on cheeks like they do in Italy and avoid standing too near anyone.It has been predicted in one of the testaments that half the population will be wiped out. Maybe this is how.

I have been watching the news just now and it has been reported that a priest has died from Ebola. Can someone please explain to me how a priest could have caught Ebola.

Gotta love those gigantic spiders.The point about bush meat however is valid as I was listening to a chap from the WHO on BBC World Service who was bemoaning the fact that their efforts in controlling the outbreaks in Sierra Leone and Guinea are being undermined by those who eat fruit bat 'bush meat' and other infected carcasses.

As there are no 'outward' signs before it hits the only way AFAIK  to detect Ebola is to take saliva and blood tests. They simply will not happen for everyone arriving in the UK.Far better to simply restrict entry to anyone travellingfrom an 'at risk' country.It is passed by fluid exchange or by eating meat from animals contaminated with the virus.Time therefore for a 100% clampdown on the illegal 'bush meat' trade that exists among some ethnic communities to minimise the risk.
