We have an old and cracked /uneven concrete drive. We can't afford to lay a new one form scratch. Does anyone know if it can be skimmed satisfactorily or does it have to be dug out and done again?

We really like the idea of this. Anyone able to suggest a builder to do it?

I like the sound of that - gravel with resin. Will check it out. Thanks....No Gerry, I agree. I would love to have it done properly but funds won't stretch that far.

Skimming plaster on wall is OK, but never for concrete drives imo.

Having recently looked into driveway options for a friend, I found the one of the most cost effective ways was to have the gravel that is covered with a resin, in fact it was cheaper than concrete in his case

Thanks Nigel. Thought that might be the case !
Anything less than 50mm will break up and even then I would reinforce this with chicken wire.I trained as a structural paving surveyor when I left school and most of our 'remedial' work was lifting and replacing 'too thin' skims.
