Coco Noodles in Ealing

So that's the 3rd time the place has been closed , cleaned up and reopened (see front page)Trouble is, most people don't know about the mice and rats there . The owners should be made to post the story with photos in their front window

Agree David. The point though is that the 'scores' are issued by the local authority who must surely have a record of previous inspections.Two zero scores and the place is closed until a, paid for by the restaurant, inspection which scores at least three or more with a follow up 'snap' inspection a few weeks later to ensure that standards are being maintained.

Unfortunately the scores on the doors don't actually appear on the door. About time this was made mandatory for all restaurants

Like quite a few places in Ealing sadly Coco scores '0' on the 'Scores on the Doors' scheme.Any premise which scores '0' on two successive inspections should, IMO. be closed to protect the public.

Andy,Three strikes is too generous IMO - one warning, get cleaned up / educated. Do it again, you can never work in the industry again...

Doesn't sound good but mice and rats are everywhere, has anyone actually become ill through eating in this place?  Not worth the risk though, plenty of other places to eat.

3 strikes and you're out if you ask me.  The owner is clearly not up to running a restaurant and should no longer be allowed to put the public's health at risk.

David's suggestion of displaying the the 'dead rat story' in the restaurant's window reminded me of a review of a Chiswick kebab restaurant, several years ago, featured in a London evening paper.  Although the review was generally favourable to the restaurant, the writer alluded to doner kebab meat being sourced from 'syphilitic yak'.  I can only assume that the owner of the restaurant didn't understand the reference because he proudly displayed the newspaper review in the restaurant's front window for several years.
