Lost dog - nr Trailfinders/Gurnell Grove - RTA accident?

I got short shrift here when I previously mentioned a dog issue, but will try again ...I have lost my recently arrived rescue dog. She has been spotted on the Trailfinders pitches (Sunday 7.30/8.30pm) and then went through a hedge to Gurnell Grove. I also have scant details about an RTA (at 9.30pm) in which a dog was injured (not killed) from a WPC in Ealing - but know nothing more about it (I'm trying to find out more). Thanks Bud! Yes, she is microchipped already. Whilst the number was perfectly readable with the scanner used by SDK (Dog warden contractor in Westminster) for some reason there was no link to my name against the number. Odd, since I'd been on the phone to PetLog every day to check if they'd heard anything. I'm following this up, but can I suggest that all dog owners check with PetLog that the details of the chip number and their name/address are linked. They said mine were, but something went wrong ...

Yes, she is home at last. Since she was returned yesterday early afternoon, she (and I!!!) have been catching up on sleep and food.I will be out during the week taking down posters but if anyone happens to see one, please feel free to bin it! We put up about 500 posters across west London, following/anticipating her movements, so I have a busy week ahead!

Wonderful news Lynn.Hope she is neither too badly hurt shaken.Westminster eh? Makes my childhood 'wandering mongrel' Clemmie's 'jaunts' to Putney and Barnes look a little tame.He too was a rescue dog and was making his way 'home'. Once his wanderlust was satisfied he then spent a 'wander free' ten years with us.

Colin - that is so kind of you. I've been out most of the day so only just reading this and I need to update. The SEARCH round here is now OFF.She was at S Ealing Road early morning, Turnham Green, Yew Tree Road (W12?) - I saw her there myself. She legged it onto the A40 and (because we have to follow at a distance) lost her as she went up the sliproad to the A40M London bound.Called 999 because of danger to traffic and 3 police cars appeared in minutes. The police "located the dog" (waiting for more info in the morning) going into a park in Paddington. I'm so pleased she didn't cause an accident on the motorway. But she has been hit at some point - she's struggling to get about, but has managed 8 miles today and outpaced me.So, Colin - Maida Vale: I believe it!!Now trying to find a similar forum in Paddington area. Thank you everyone for all your help and support. It's made life easier over the last week

Lynn - I've been out and about touring places looking for your hound this afternoon for a couple of hours.Covered areas around Walpole, Lammas, back of TVU, Ealing Common etc. I think decided I'd point the van towards Gunnesbury Parka and Acton / Chiswick. No joy I'm afraid.Saw your posters and I'm still crossing everything for you.Decades ago our family mongrel wandered off from Boston Manor. I was over Eversheds searching for days and weeks but she'd made it to Madia Vale along the canal towpath would you believe! We reclaimed her some 3 months later from the fella who'd found her -- he was gutted to give her back and the little swine looked gutted to be leaving!!!Keep the hope & faith

Thank you Andy. I couldn't picture the area behind the uni in Bond Street before visiting there last night, and I think you may well be right. Plenty of nearby food rubbish to scavenge through, a massive area that is fenced off, water in Walpole Park. I'm going to the uni today to try to watch their CCTV to maybe get an idea of where she came from/went to. Might help.Thank you - any more ideas welcome. If anyone is able to print a poster or two to put up in their home street (wherever in Ealing it is) it would be very helpful. My number is 0789 665 4957. Lynn -- I assume you've gone on Dog Lost and registered her?There's sometimes an army of people who will help in the search plus they match dogs if found.Really hope your girl is back soon.

I park on Carlton Gardens while I'm at work and have been keeping a keen eye out.  Have you checked the railway sidings on Longfield Avenue and also the school playing fields on Carlton Rd?Fingers crossed for you Lynn.

Unfortunately she's not back (and she is gorgeous!!) Nikki helpfully put her photos so people know better what she looks like. Thank you NikkiShe was asleep on the steps of Ealing Magistrates' Court this morning (Tuesday 9.30am) then ran off, and was seen later in Carlton Gardens, then Gordon Road (10.30 to 11am). Worn out trying to follow her!! Any sightings please let me know. Thank you!!

Oh I am sorry Lynn.You might want to ask the moderators to remove your mobile number though. there are, with the best will in the world, some 'not so nice' people about.Ealing Police should be able to give you details of the RTA and to where the dog was recovered.Hope it's good news for you.
