Without seeing the pre cursor to the people (Toyota) entering the junction then you can't presume they had right of way, looking at the position of the Toyota it can be assumed that the car entered on the opposite side of the road to the flow, which could also indicate that the lady driving the vehicle didn't look into the junction to ensure the road was clear prior, if she saw the car then she should have not turned into the junction until the VW had left the road as it did have right of way being on the correct side of the road. There is ample space to reverse the Toyota without going onto the main road, (more of a reverse park behind the parked vehicles) something a competent driver should be able to execute with ease. This is the place the Toyota should have been in if she did enter the junction correctly in the first place.
