I find it difficult to get a full night's sleep due to this hot and humid weather. Are there any tips for this temporary summer insomnia?

Keep Cool! Wear fewer and looser clothes. Drink cold coffee instead of hot coffee (and de-caff in the evening).Don't forget to open sash windows top AND bottom. Here are eight low tech ways to keep cool:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-23255554

I was only joking Graham - I usually sleep the sleep of the just, its just that this hot and humid weather make it not so easy to go bye-byes.

Insomnia is very common among those of your vintage. If it has bad effects on you see your GP not a shrink. The tablets may work and nothing lost if the GP declines to prescribe.

Thanks Tracey, Graham and Nigel - all good advice - I think it all in my mind really - I need a good 'shrink'! Cheers!
Watch the sunrise Gerry then have a crafty snooze after lunch

An extra large dram or three.
