LBE New Hard Plastic Recycling @ Greenford

http://www.ealing.gov.uk/news/article/1002/new_hard_plastic_recycling_serviceMy oldest bucket has been gradually falling apart and hasn't had a handle for at least a year.  I have still managed to find a use for it until recently when the cracks reached the bottom.  Seems like there is a better home for it in Greenford than in landfill.  Only I never go to Greenford however if I had cracked and dangerous plastic garden furniture to get rid of then I could be tempted.

I think we need some new information on recycling plastic.  What they do and don't want rather than what they do and don't think is nice or that we should be using.

Perhaps you could achieve the same effect by standing on it?

I cut my stuff like that into smaller pieces and put it into the standard recycling white bag.Not a solution for everybody however as to do this quickly conveniently and safely you really need access to a bandsaw.

I was wondering what to do with some old plastic garden furniture which has past its 'sell by' date and other plastic items - thanks for the link.
