Crafty ladies who lunch.
An elderly neighbour of ours and two of her friends, go shopping and lunch every so often, usually John Lewis and they have a technique which is cunning when travelling on the underground. When they get on the train they go right to the middle of the usually busy Piccadilly line, where they are seen, instead of standing near the crowded doors - they are usually offered seats by kind younger passengers. Cunning ploy methinks by elderly ladies who lunch.
