Polish volunteers needed for Polish charity

I've come across a small charity called Kwiaty Ludzkich Serc Londyn that appears to be in desperate need of help. I don't speak Polish and the translation offered by Bing is really weird but it sounds like the person in charge is running on empty and needs some support. It has a public page on Facebook, you don't have to be logged in to see it (https://www.facebook.com/KwiatyLudzkichSercLondyn2014), but the website link seems to be broken. It may be that they can't afford to keep it going.They seem to do a range of things like arranging lifts for people who need to reach interviews or medical appointments but don't have the fares, find someone who can give a helping hand on one or two occasions or just provide information for anyone that needs it. You probably do have to speak the language to be useful. If you think you can help please take a look or pass tis on.

I would suggest to them to contact the Polish Centre in Hammersmith as there are many cultural and other facilities there and it is a focus of the community.

Can I just ask... what would your view be if I started up a charity that was exclusively to assist English people only?I dont know what the mission statement is for the charity you refer to but as the lingo is in polish only I can only assume.So how about a charity that wants to raise money from the wider populus but is purely to assist English people get about, have lifts, enjoy Xmas etc? I can hear the left wing Guardianista's falling off their chairs as I type

Historic I think. Many were here during the war to help build and fly our planes. An interesting site here although it itself concedes historical information is sparse.http://www.ealingpolishlives.org.ukAnd wasn't the seat of the polish royal family in Ealing?

Regarding the Polish population, there seem to be many who have settled happily in Ealing - I wonder why Ealing especially? The Polish are a credit to Ealing imo.
