Oak Road, W5

Hi All,While walking through Oak Road, W5, I saw a notice posted in the window of the old Albany Restaurant, most recently a Costa café, and it said that Patisserie Valerie will be opening on the site.  Does anyone know if Patisserie Valerie still has the same reputation for excellence as in the past?

When will the new branch be opening? In the meantime, who sells the best cakes and patisseries in Ealing at the moment?

Agreed, Patisserie Valerie quality is OK. It's just a shame that yet another chain is opening in Ealing, contributing to its increasingly clone image, and not an independent. I knew they'd been springing up everywhere and have just checked their website. 94 outlets and counting...

This is the best news I've heard for ages. Patisserie Valerie is an old haunt of mine - whenever I had to be in Soho for business, I made a point of buying cakes and other delicious pastries to take home or back to my studio. PV will be an asset to Ealing's food scene. Hurrah!
