Tried and Tested: Mother's Day Cocktail

An alternative to chocolates or flowers

This Mothering Sunday treat your mum to something different - how about a Sparkling Bouquet instead of the usual floral one?

Ingredients:

• ½ tsp/2.5ml vanilla essence • A squeeze of fresh lime

• 30ml cranberry juice • 1tsp/5ml essence of rose water

• 125ml [yellow tail] Bubbles Rosé

Method:

Mix the Cranberry and lime juice together with the vanilla essence and rose water and then top up with Bubbles Rosé. For added flare pop some sliced strawberry into the glass.

This fruity and refreshing alternative to a bunch of flowers is very easy to make and looks very pretty - especially with the strawberry decoration.

Bubbles Rosé by yellowtail ( www.yellowtailwine.com) is available in Asda, RRP £7.98.

Editor's verdict: This is a lovely cocktail - bubbly, fruity and oh so easy to drink!

It's the perfect garden party drink - roll on summer!

Be careful though - the wine has 12% alcohol content which is rather strong - keep an eye out for mum!
