Man pulls knife during rush-hour this morning

Police are hunting a knifeman who stabbed another man during a fight at a bus-stop in West Ealing.

The incident happened during this morning's rush-hour at about 9am outside The Gym in Uxbridge Road near to the junction of Broughton Road.

Witnesses report seeing two men fighting and then one pulling a knife. It's believed he walked off and boarded the next bus.

Police say on arrival they found the 19 year old (corrected age) injured man being treated by ambulance officers for a single stab wound to the lower back. He was taken to a west London hospital.

Witnesses describe the suspect as black, in his early 20s, about 5ft 10ins and well built. He is described as wearing a grey hoody, blue tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

There have been no arrests and the investigation continues.

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

It's the latest in a series of violent incidents to have hit West Ealing. There have been a number of shootings and three weeks ago several teenagers were injured in a brawl between two gangs.

To reassure local people police said officers from the Ealing Broadway and Walpole Safer Neighbourhoods Teams had increased foot and vehicle patrols and would be engaging with residents to answer any concerns and provide up-to-date information.
