Northfields Library? Where's that?

The Library Service wants your views

Northfields Library is included in the Library Service's refurbishment programme, for significantly improving the building, to attract new users and improve the environment for current users.

Proposed plans have been developed for what the 'new' Northfields Library might look like, including:

  • Making the building more prominent & attractive to people passing by
  • Improving the internal layout, to make it easier to find things
  • Upgrading the overall environment, to make the Library more comfortable, modern and an attractive place to go.

At this point, the Library Service is keen to hear what the public think of these proposed plans, and has produced a display to show these ideas and seek people's views. In particular, it is very important to gather responses from people who do not currently use the Library. We are inviting people to come and look at this display and tell us what they think.

The display showing the proposed ideas will be exhibited in Northfields Library, Northfield Avenue W5 4UA from Tuesday 13 June - Friday 30 June 2006.

The Library is open:Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9am - 7.45pm, Fridays & Saturdays, 9am - 5pm.

People will be able to see the display, and fill in a questionnaire, asking for their views. On Tuesday 13 June 2006, from 12 noon to 7pm, people can meet staff to talk about the plans.
