Ealing Really HAS Got Talent

Rollerblading and playing the didgeridoo - huge response to local competition

Organisers say they were inundated with applications for Ealing's first ever talent competition, and finalists have now been picked.

Last week judges were presented with a whole range of talents, from rollerblading and dancing to singing and didgeridoo-ing!

After much deliberation 12 acts will perform at the Ealing Has Talent 2009 final at Karma nightclub on Saturday 31st October.

Duncan from The Grifters, a band of four teenage boys commented, “We’re ecstatic to be going through to the final - hopefully Jonathan Shalit might see something in us and help us become a proper band!”.

Jonathan Shalit, celebrity agent to Myleene Klass, Jamelia and N-Dubz, will be on the panel of five beady-eyed judges on the day of the finals and will be on the lookout for the next big thing.

Other judges include celebrity chef Paul Merrett (Economy Gastronomy, Saturday Kitchen), Gary Webster (Eastenders, Minder, Crossroads, The Bill), Kelly Clarke from Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre which is hosting the event, and Claire Moss from Marie Curie Cancer Care, the charity to which all proceeds are being donated.

Presenters DJ Drapes and Lauren V from Westside Radio will also be getting involved in the excitement of the final and members of the audience will be able to get their hands on some fantastic prizes by entering the Marie Curie Cancer Care raffle!

For tickets to the final on 31st October at Karma nightclub, visit the Marie Curie webpage and download a form.

Adult tickets include free entry to their frightening Halloween night!
