And All That Jazz...

Ealing Summer Festival 2008

The Ealing Jazz Festival is back with five days of remarkable music entertainment.

An array of talented musicians will take to the stage from today, 23 July, for the well-established jazz event. And it will have crowds toe-tapping and finger-snapping until Sunday, 27 July.

The 24th Ealing Jazz Festival welcomes back old favourites including Dick Esmond’s Sound of the 17 Big Band and new faces such as Xantoné Blacq to entertain audiences.

Councillor Phil Taylor, Cabinet Member for Customer and Community Services, said: “Ealing Summer Festival has been a great success this year but there is still plenty of entertainment for everyone to enjoy. I hope we continue to get such fantastic crowds along to the rest of the events as there is so much to look forward to.”

A special family area is being set up at the Jazz Festival on Saturday 26 till Sunday 27 July from 2-7pm.

Admission to the family area is free and there will be a range of fun activities on offer including arts and crafts, puppet making and a children’s funfair.

TalkTalk, the main sponsors of the Jazz Festival, will be giving away balloons in the families area. It will also have its own marquee at the event featuring an internet café, chill-out room and bar area.
