The Schola Cantorum


Performing in Ealing in November

The Schola Cantorum, the renowned boys' choir of the Cardinal Vaughan School, are giving a concert in Ealing in November.

The Concert, at 7 pm on Thursday 10 November, 2011 at St Barnabas Church, Pitshanger Lane, will the choir's first concert appearance in Ealing for many years.

The main work is Victoria's setting of the Requiem Mass, marking the 400th anniversary of the composer's death. The concert will also feature the wonderful newly installed organ at St Barnabas. The Vaughan's Schola sings far and wide and has travelled recently to Rome, Prague, Barcelona, New York, Washington, Paris and Vienna to give concerts.

The boys in the choir sing often at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and have appeared at the BBC Proms. They can even be heard singing on the soundtrack of a recent Harry Potter film. This concert is being given is aid of the choir's tour to California in February 2012.
