Charity evening with Lord Rix at Questors

An immensely enjoyable evening in the company of Brian Rix at the Questors Theatre in Ealing at 7:30pm on Sunday 27th September 2009 in aid of Ealing Mencap.

The show covers life on the boards at the Whitehall Theatre, then moves on to the House of Lords and Lord Rix's campaigning for people with learning disabilities and his work as President of Royal Mencap.

Tickets cost £16.00 each (£15 for Questors' members and concessions) and all proceeds will go towards rebuilding
Enterprise Lodge, which is the heart of Ealing Mencap's social network.

Enterprise Lodge

The existing building, which was a temporary building when
it went up over 40 years ago, is old and dilapadated and
undermines the dignity of the people with disabilities who use
it. We have already raised nearly £900,000 and need a further
£300,000 to complete our project fund. We hope to open
the new enterprise lodge in 2010, helping to restore our
community's dignity and fulfil their aspirations for a better
quality of life in the future.

Ealing Mencap

Ealing Mencap both supports and represents people with learning disabilities and their carers within the London Borough of Ealing. They are a voluntary organisation which successfully combines committed volunteers and paid staff.They are financially independent of Royal Mencap and survive on their own income and resources.
